One of my customers went on safari in Africa awhile back and brought back an elephant hide as a trophy.  He called me to make him two gun cases, three knife scabbards, a belt, a cartridge case, and a leatherman case.  Here are the end results. 

 

That elephant hide is some of the most difficult stuff that I have ever worked with.  The results, however, were beautiful.
